As reader-spectators remove the 300 flash fiction texts on post-its from the wall, they take with them the reason why a specific individual cannot be present.<\/p>\n<p>The moment a reader-spectator reads a text, a virtual dynamic is created, one in which everyone that is not here exists through the <em>other<\/em>. When all the post-its have been removed, the text \u201cyo soy aqu\u00ed\u201d is all that remains on the wall. The address stamped onto each Post-it is the site <em>yonoestoyaqu1.blogspot.com, <\/em>where visitors may find out more about the project and read the other texts from the installation.<\/p>\n<p><em>Yo no estoy aqu\u00ed<\/em> = <em>yo soy aqu\u00ed<\/em> (<em>I am not here<\/em> = <em>my presence persists here<\/em>) because one concept cannot exist without the other. This project explores the process of virtuality as the answer to \u201cwhere are you when you are not here?\u201d That absence is the presence of absence: the emptiness that gives form to a figurative presence.\u00a0 Everything that is not, so that something can become everything that is not here.\u00a0 The present is everything that is but also that which is not. href=\"http:\/\/lesfigues.com\/\">Les Figues Press<\/a>' <em>Not Content<\/em> writers-in-residence curatorial series and was exhibited at <a href=\"http:\/\/welcometolace.org\/\">LACE, Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions<\/a>.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div><div class=\"et_d4_element
