Infinity Room
Infinity Room (2003) interactive installation piece that explores how the optical relationship of complementary colors affect our sense of space. Participants put on a light helmet and enter through a zipper that wraps around the circumference of the piece, and which also acts as a horizon line once inside. The blue horizon is continuous, with no breaks in the visual field. The light from the helmet causes a visual vibration between the colors orange (interior) and blue (zipper) which interferes with depth perception and moves between the stabilization and destabilization of space.
